Daniel Walford

After Leaving university with an engineering degree with honours Dan has been involved in business.

Dan’s knowledge of the building trade started at a young age helping his father who is also a builder in Worcester in the west midlands. He teamed up with his Dad on a couple of projects where he specialised in woodwork and general construction before going it alone in Manchester.

Dan’s hard working & enthusiastic entrepreneurial approach to his work has seen him build up a large portfolio of extensions, renovations and new builds in and around Manchester.

Since setting up DANCAN with Daniel Cole Dan’s involvement in the maintenance sector has become more prominent and with his background in construction and project management his all round knowledge is unrivalled.
Dan also achieved a high level of sport involving Rugby and American football and is also a keen musician in his spare time.

Daniel Cole

Daniel started in the building trade at an early age where he began an apprenticeship. He also began to pick up different skills, gaining knowledge and experience.

After leaving college and completing his apprenticeship at 19, Daniel started work for a building and maintenance company.
Daniel continued to build up his tradesmen skills in joinery, plumbing and general maintenance. He also helped run the business, looking after building sites and helping with the administration.

From there Daniel set up his own handyman business in 2007. Seeing there was a need within Greater Manchester for handyman and maintenance work, he focused on this area. Since then he has gone from strength to strength, working within domestic properties, having on-going contracts with lettings agents and also having contracts with commercial clients within the city centre.

Daniel has grown and developed not just in his knowledge and experience of the industry but also in business. In 2009, Daniel alongside Daniel Walford set-up a North-West maintenance company – DANCAN maintenance Ltd. Here, as a director he has helped spearhead the company to expand and start to become a reputable name within the industry.
Alongside running these businesses Daniel has also been involved in offering handyman expertise on television, you can catch him on ITV’s ‘60 minute makeover’ and also on BBC’s ‘Blue Peter’. See our TV page for more details.
